Map to Cape Point At the
tip of the Cape Peninsula – 60 km south-west of Cape Town – the
rugged rocks and sheer cliffs cut deep into the ocean to split False
Bay from the colder waters of the western seaboard. This outcrop of
the Table Mountain National Park is called Cape Point. And this is
where our adventure begins… Why no go by train? Board at any station on the Southern Suburbs line. From Muizenberg towards Simon’s Town the track hugs the coast along spectacular coves and beaches of False Bay, offering you a sense of the shape of the peninsula. Your train journey comes to a halt at Simon’s Town. Here you simply hop on a Rikki, which will zip through town and deliver you at Cape Point. Rikki taxis run regularly, throughout the day. |
